Illuminating the Arts-Policy Nexus
Illuminating the Arts-Policy Nexus is a fortnightly series of articles on the role of art in public policymaking. This series invites WPI fellows and project leaders as well as external practitioners to contribute pieces on how artists have led policy change and how policymakers can use creative strategies.
In Every Nation for Itself: Winners and Losers in a G-Zero World, World Policy Institute Senior Fellow Ian Bremmer illustrates a historic shift in the international system and the world economy—and an unprecedented moment of global uncertainty.
World Policy On Air: Ruthie Ackerman
UPDATE, AUGUST 5: Naomi Campbell has admitted that she was indeed given diamonds by Charles Taylor--though she does not still have possession of them. As discussed on this July 26 podcast, Campbell had previously said she had not received any diamonds from Taylor, despite the fact that Mia Farrow claimed Campbell had told her this to be the case the morning after the party when she allegedly received them.
Editor-in-Chief David A. Andelman interviews WPI Senior Fellow Ruthie Ackerman about her work in Liberia. The two discuss free elections in African nations and whether the respective diasporas of these countries will be allowed to vote in them. Ackerman also mentions her work on citizen media and her upcoming project that will take her to Saudi Arabia.
