World Policy Paper Release: Trade and Governance Policies Can Save the Earth's Forests
July 25, 2011 - A new report by the World Policy Institute, in partnership with Demos, calls for countries to coordinate regionally and strengthen national laws to protect forests through trade and procurement policies tied to the monitoring and enforcement of illegal logging. World Policy Journal Expands Editorial Board Globally
November 9, 2009 -World Policy Journal announced today the addition of six new members to its Editorial Board from Australia, China, Dubai, France, India, and Nigeria concurrently with the appointment as its first Chairman, Seymour Topping, former Managing Editor of The New York Times, former Administrator of the Pulitzer Prizes, and now Emeritus Professor of International Journalism at Columbia University. World Policy Institute Becomes Independent Enterprise
November 29, 2007—The World Policy Institute (WPI) and The New School jointly announced the establishment of WPI as a fully autonomous organization working in partnership with The New School. Since 1991, WPI, a major center of policy analysis and research in international affairs, has been part of The New School, a university committed to addressing the demands of globalization in an increasingly interdependent world. The new relationship comes after more than fifteen years of fruitful collaboration, particularly through public programs that have shed fresh light on global political and economic changes.
