"Nigeria is divided. The northern half of the country is almost completely Muslim (50 percent of the total population) and the southern half is mostly Christian (40 percent of the total population)"
That statement is flat out wrong. At least 20% of the population of Southern Nigeria is Muslim and a far higher proportion of the population of Northern Nigeria is Christian. There are at least five states (Plateau, Benue, Taraba, Nassarawa, Adamawa)in Northern Nigeria with Christian majorities.
Secondly, Nigeria has an almost 50/50 split between Muslim and Christian populations. If you cannot get your facts right, why should anyone read your blog.
