I don't take John Campbell's

I don't take John Campbell's suggestions seriously. When the US government was faced with a similar situation it neither went on conciliatory tours nor did it seek to negotiate with terrorists - you can fill in the blanks.

A dimension of this problem that Western analysts seem to overlook is that Nigeria has a significant Christian majority. Nigeria is neither Pakistan nor Yemen and the most economically productive parts of Nigeria are in the South.

There are millions of people in Southern Nigeria who will be perfectly happy if these Sharia crazed buffoons decide split and form their own country. We have no religious or cultural ties with them and we gladly look forward to the day when we will cease to be saddled with the most unproductive and retrogressive idiots in Sub-Saharan Africa.

I blame the British for forcefully joining two dissimilar peoples in an unhappy marriage. If Boko Haram wants to hasten the divorce proceedings, we will most happily oblige them.
