The World Policy Institute (WPI) receives support from a variety of sources for activities that advance our mission. Those sources include individuals, foundations, agencies and corporations. We actively seek partnership and collaboration from organizations with a demonstrated interest in conducting their activities in a sustainable and socially responsible manner. We work to establish relationships with organizations that have a global vision, carry out environmentally sustainable practices, and demonstrate good governance, while advancing our mutual interests. In identifying potential partners, WPI will prioritize entities that demonstrate a sincere attempt to adhere to the principles for evaluating corporate, social or environmental responsibility as contained in the United Nations Global Compact or the Social Accountability 800 Standard; or otherwise have been publicly recognized for socially responsible conduct. We normally accept general support from any source if it comes without conditions. However, to protect our integrity and the confidence of our donors and partners, we reserve the right to reject any support that could be seen to compromise our reputation, independence, effectiveness, or non-partisan status; establish a precedent that could be harmful to WPI; or allow our name or logo to be used in a manner that suggests endorsement of a particular company, political party or legislation.
