Please, for the love of God,

Please, for the love of God, stop listening to John Campbell! If you must listen to him, balance his analysis with reports from other less-biased scholars. I am a Nigerian and I know whose interests Mr. Campbell is representing. If you notice, there is no mention made of the significant Christian minority in Northern Nigeria and how they fit into all this. There is also a ludicrous claim that Jonathan's kitchen cabinet is dominated by Ijaws, when important offices like the Secretary to the Federal Government and the Coordinating Minister for the Economy are not held by people from Jonathan's part of Nigeria. It is very simple, John Campbell is a paid lackey of one of Nigeria's most corrupt politicians - Atiku Abubakar. Atiku Abubukar represents the Northern interests that have ruled Nigeria for 38 years out of 51 and have accomplished very little. In Mr. Campbell's mind, the only people that matter in Northern Nigeria are Northern Nigerian Muslims and poverty and alienation, not a fundamentalist strain of Islam is behind Boko Haram. To get a balanced view on Nigeria, talk to Nigerians (both Muslim and Christian), stop depending on second-hand, tainted analysis.
