National Accounting

Sir,
you're advised to read the National Accounts. You'll be surprised how much of your so called criticism is already covered by these accounts - if any part of macro economics has progressed during the last 40 years or so it's National Accounting, which by now includes stock, flows, balance sheets, liquidity statements, labor market accounts, sectoral approaches, environmental damage and whatever. And at least in my country (and the entire EU, by the way) regional accounts do exist. Income distribution? Check the accounts (in the USA even seggregated according to race). The very shift of employment from manufacturing and industry to services? Check the accounts.
I can go on for a while, but I guess you get the idea
