The conclusion of that article does not refer nor avow that the archipelago be subject to offshore drilling, since the author is aware that this will pose a serious environmental hazard to its natural reef and the inhabitants as a whole--it just made a reference to the oil reserves underneath its surface, which makes it so coveted by both the Nicaraguan and Colombian governments. On the contrary, it calls the Santos administration to revamp the local economy by exploring OTHER natural resources, such as fishing and other forms of renewable energy. It is imperative that, once the dispute is settled, the Colombian government also helps spur sustainable tourism, the tenet of your business.
