Learn some facts

Dear Ms. Pond: This is perhaps the most ignorant piece on the Gotovina case I have read to date. Are you aware that all 8 judges of the Tribunal (3 trial judges, 5 appeals judges) UNANIMOUSLY were unable to identify (1) a single Serb civilian who was killed or injured by Gotovina's alleged unlawful artillery fire, and (2) a single Serb civilian who claimed to have left Croatia due to fear of artillery fire. Furthermore, all 8 judges UNANIMOUSLY concluded that the Krajina Serbs left Croatia for reasons unrelated to unlawful conduct by Croatian forces, except that the 3 trial judges believed that the Krajina Serbs were expelled in four towns (of Knin, Benkovac, Obrovac, and Gracac) which amounted to about 20,000 Serbs (not 200,000---not even the Trial Chamber suggested this). You should really learn your facts before writing articles about topics which you obviously have no knowledge. Mike Baresic
