Payingthe piper

6.5 billion per annum to maintain the Afghan Army at current levels. NATO is having problems even coughing-up the $600 mill they're expected to pay. Afghanistan is kicking in 500 million - (where's that money coming from?) and the other 5.2 billion will be funded by the 'bastion of freedumb'. That's over and above the cost of, what, some 137 000 'contractors' working in Afghanistan and the billion or two to maintain a deployment of 12 000 military and a vital 'luftwaffe' air fleet. The 'bleeding ulcer' will be leaking cash for the foreseeable future. And somebody's worried about corruption, hah!
