WPJ Twitter Chat: The Big Question

Wednesday, April 9, 2014 - 11:00am

How do Sex & Sexuality affect an individual's role in society?

In our Spring 2014 issue, World Policy Journal asked a panel of experts to weigh in on how gender and sexuality affect their respective societies. For centuries, sex and sexuality have played central roles in forming the nature of societies and governments. But only recently, within the past century or less, has the competition or selection of man vs. woman determined the nature of government, its citizens, and the way the two interact.

Now we are opening the conversation to our World Policy audience. Follow #sexandsexuality to join in on the conversation.

Our Big Question respondents participating in the Twitter Chat:

Jina Moore, Nairobi-based reporter covering global women's rights and Africa for BuzzFeed. @itsjina

Hans Billimoria, director of Grassrooted Trust, a Sri Lankan organization for anyone marginalized around sex, drugs, and culture. @grassrootedSL

Coral Herrera Gómez, a Costa Rica-based gender communications consultant. @coralherreragom
