The
Dirty Dozen: Partners in Mass Destruction
December 13, 2001
The Arms Trade Resource Center and Women's International League
for Peace and Freedom have just completed the first phase of a new
project: THE DIRTY DOZEN: PARTNERS IN MASS DESTRUCTION, profiling
13 (a baker's dozen) corporations involved different aspects of
nuclear weapons and nuclear power.
The profiles are on the REACHING CRITICAL WILL site (www.reachingcriticalwill.org/dd/ddindex.html)
Companies include the "Big Four Merchants of Death" Lockheed Martin,
Boeing, Raytheon and TRW, as well as Alliant Techsystems, Bechtel,
General Dynamics, IBM, and University of California. European companies
BAE, BNFL, and Siemens are also profiled as is the Japanese mega-company
Mitsubishi.
WILPF and ATRC hope to have post cards and posters of the DIRTY
DOZEN available for collecting, trading and activating by mid January.
Let us know ahead of time if you are interested in receiving copies,
send an email to Research Associate Frida Berrigan berrigaf@newschool.edu.
